Tasmanian devils born on the Australian mainland for the first time in 3000 years

It is thought that the Tasmanian devil disappeared from the mainland due to overhunting by packs of dingo’s. Dingo’s are not native to Australia, it is thought that they were bought along by humans as much as 8300 years ago.

Tasmanian devils have been reintroduced onto Australia by humans. It seems only fair as we were probably the cause of their original disappearance.

While the dingo made look like part of the native fauna of Australia, that is not the case. They were bought there by aboriginal people.
