This page is to discuss places that you have traveled to, in which you have had much success in seeing wild animals, in places where you expect them. These places have often been set aside for wildlife, or development has not yet arrived. Wild places are often very expensive to keep protected and so need many visitors to make sure that the host country looks on them as a resource that brings in money and not a draw on their (often) scant resources. If development has not yet arrived to damage an ecosystem, tourism can help the government make the argument that the land should be protected long term.
