Waka national park

Covering more than 10,000 square km this reserve is also a special place. More than 1500 plants have been recorded here, along with  400 birds and 85 mammal species. Waka National Park lies in central Gabon. Waka protects over 1,000 km2 of rain forest in the Chaillu Massif.

One of the most notable geological features of this area is the Ikobe-Ikoi-Onoi rift, which is deeply incised into the landscape. The mammals include Mandrills, Chimpanzee, gorilla and forest elephant among many others. Unfortunately, the north of the park has suffered poaching, thanfully at the current time, this has not spread to the south of the park.

There are no videos of the reserve, but I hope that this will change in the near future.
