Iceland

Iceland is a small island being around 3/4 of the size of England (compared to the far greater Greenland), lying in the North sea.

Various arctic species can be found here including  animals like the Arctic fox and reindeer, as well as a variety of seals and whales along and off the coast.

Polar bears are not native, though have been known to drift there on icefloes from Greenland.

There is much ecotourism on the island. Below the news section, there is a short video on Icelandic wildlife. We hope (in the near future) to start adding destinations on the island as well.
