Sierra Leone

38.1% of Sierra Leone remains as rainforest, while 12.7% of the country is protected in some way. This means that 24.6% of the country is currently forested, but is not protected. The countries area is 71,740 square km, which means that there is 17648 square km ( 6813 square miles) of rainforest could be lost at any moment. Visiting this country will help the country see a reason to protect the rest of its remaining habitat (it is also a simple fact, that loosing this area of rainforest is not good for our battle with climate change)
