The highest peak at 3011m (the par take its name from this island) in Equatorial Guinea lies within the national park, which covers 300 square km. This national park lives on the Bioko island off the coast of Equatorial Guinea.
It stands out for its diversity of landscapes and vegetation and especially for its population of primates, that are threatened by the illegal hunting. Although in 2007 the government of that country prohibited the hunting of diverse species, international organizations have shown concern for the noncompliance of the decree. There is an attempt to change the hunting so it is fully sustainable. Having said this, a reserve which hosts any hunting, is long going to be useful for tourism, as the animals will flee from the sound of humans.
