Grevy Zebra

The Grevy zebra, also known as the imperial zebra, it is the rarest zebra. Found only in parts of Ethiopia and Kenya, they are easy to identify as their close stripes are easy to pick out. In the 1970s there was a population of around 15,000 though this fell to just 2000 by 2016. It is classed as endangered by the IUCN. Unfortunately for various reasons, the population is not growing fast, with 2020 population being 2250.

While none of our destinations are currently within this species range, we hope to add some in the near future.
