Sleeping bags are a strange thing to shop for. For the majority of people, camping is a relatively rare thing to do. However, if you are interested in seeing wildlife, a good Sleeping bag is a worthwhile purchase.
Generally sleeping bags have got far smaller when put in its bag, which makes it easier to fit in to your luggage, particularly when you are hiking.
While a 1 or 2 season sleeping bag can often surfice for a summer trip, bare in mind the location of much wildlife. We were caught out in both Croatia and Spain in August, because the wildlife meant we were up in the mountains- a 3 or 4 season sleeping bag is then very handy.
